What is Oneiros?

Oneiros is a game played in the space between waking and sleep. Each session is a dream — a sequence of cards drawn from your collection, fused together into something that was not there before. You do not win or lose. You wander.

The cards carry numbers. The numbers carry weight. At the end of every dream, the balance between what the dream took from you and what you took from it is written into your signature — a record of the dreamer, not the dream.

How the Dream Works

Before entering the dream, you choose cards from your collection and fuse them — two become one, their natures combined. You need at least ten fused cards to begin.

Each round, ten cards are drawn from your deck. You choose seven to play. Each card you play acts upon the dream — and upon you. Your stats and the dream's stats shift with every choice. At the end, your session is sealed into the Signature.

Cards can be flipped. The reverse of a card carries a different nature — sometimes more merciful, sometimes not.

The Seven Forces
Silence
The weight of what is not said. Cards with high Silence absorb sound and thought — they slow the dream, creating pockets of stillness that accumulate.
Dread
Raw, sourceless fear. Dread does not come from anything visible — it precedes the image. High Dread cards accelerate the dream's deterioration and press hard against the dreamer's composure.
Memory
Fragments of places and faces that may or may not have existed. Memory cards pull the dream toward the past, distorting sequence and causality. They are the hardest to release.
Static
Interference. Noise between signals, channels that broadcast nothing. Static cards introduce entropy — they disrupt patterns, blur boundaries, and make the dream harder to read.
Distance
The feeling of being far from something without knowing what. Distance cards push figures and places to the edge of perception — present, but unreachable.
Shadow
Not darkness, but the shape cast by something that blocks the light. Shadow cards are the presence of an absence — they define what cannot be seen by the outline it leaves.
Echo
Repetition without origin. Echo cards reverberate — their effects linger beyond the moment they are played, returning in diminished but persistent form. They are the dream remembering itself.
Your Collection

Cards are sorted by Wave — the series they belong to, each with its own atmosphere. You can mark cards as Favorites to find them quickly, or Banish cards whose imagery disturbs you — banished cards will not appear in fusions or in the dream.

Reward cards appear for a limited time, claimable for free. Once claimed they enter your collection permanently. Premium cards can be purchased and carry stronger stat values.

The Oneiric Profile

Every dream you complete leaves a trace. The seven forces — Silence, Dread, Memory, Static, Distance, Shadow, Echo — accumulate across all your sessions and shape your identity as a dreamer. The force you have cultivated most becomes your Dominant Archetype, reflected in the badge that follows you through the interface.

Stats accumulate only when a dream ends naturally — when the timer runs out. Ending a dream early, through End Dream, leaves no mark. Over time, stats decay slowly: each day without dreaming, they diminish slightly. The profile rewards those who return.

The Oneiric Houses

Your Dominant Archetype determines your Ascendant House — one of seven houses, each carrying its own nature. At the end of every completed dream, your House applies a bonus to the Dream Signature.

House of Silence
Negative stats are absorbed. No loss is carried forward into the Signature.
House of Dread
The dream's damage on Dread is converted into Silence. Fear becomes stillness.
House of Memory
Five percent of your accumulated profile is added to this dream's Signature. The past enriches the present.
House of Static
Every stat you earned this dream receives a fixed bonus of five points.
House of Distance
The dream's damage is halved. The nightmare is kept at a remove.
House of Shadow
Your weakest stat is raised to the average of the others. Nothing is left behind.
House of Echo
All final stats are amplified by ten percent. The dream resonates.
